About Me

Hi visitor,

I am a student of IT security in Bochum, Germany and generally a technology enthusiast.

My main interests are servers and their administration, operating systems as well as networks. My programming enthusiasm is mostly limited to scripts and hardware-related programming (embedded, cli apps, …). Let's say I wouldn't describe myself as a classic (web/app/…)-developer, more as a tinkerer. I do programming where a DIY project requires it.

I'm a big fan of the open-source movement and of free software.

I'm a big advocate of data protection. For me, this goes well beyond "I have nothing to hide, so I don't need data protection" and is an essential fundamental right that needs to be protected.

If you asked me for something cool to talk about, I'd probably tell you about Gentoo Linux, GNU Emacs, (Open)BSD or my last festival visit. (List is not sorted).

My favorite music genre is something along the lines of hardstyle.
